Please note that this baseplate is not compatible with Roadmaster's direct-connect style tow bars, which do not require a crossbar assembly. For those systems, a different baseplate kit would be necessary.

There are two main baseplate styles for most flat towable vehicles:

Direct-Connect: This style lets you attach the tow bar directly to the baseplate—no crossbar needed. It’s the easiest option for quick hookup and disconnect. Ideal for motorhome-mounted tow bars. Note: If you're using a Stowmaster, Tracker, Guardian Rock Shield, or Tow Defender #4700, choose the Crossbar-Style.

Crossbar-Style: Designed for use with Roadmaster tow bars and accessories that require a crossbar or quick-disconnect system. This is the required option for car-mounted tow bars.
